AmsterSite is responsible for processing personal data as described in this privacy policy. We handle your data with care and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you email or call us: your name, your contact details and what you tell us.

When you send us a WhatsApp message: your phone number, your name as shown in WhatsApp and the content of your messages.

When you are a client: your name, company name, contact details, billing details and the information needed to carry out the assignment, such as texts and images you provide.

Our website and services are not aimed at children under 16. We do not knowingly process data of children.

We use your data to answer your questions, prepare quotations, carry out assignments, send invoices, keep our administration and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your data for other purposes without your consent, and we do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.

We only process your data when the GDPR provides a legal basis: to prepare or perform an agreement with you, to meet a legal obligation (such as the Dutch tax retention requirement), on the basis of our legitimate interest (for example to answer your question) or with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose we received it for. Messages sent by email or WhatsApp are kept for as long as needed to handle your question. Data we need for our financial administration is kept for seven years, as required by Dutch law.

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties we need to provide our services, such as our hosting provider and freelancers who work on a project on our behalf. They only receive the data they need and may not use it for other purposes. Where required, we sign a data processing agreement with them.

If you message us on WhatsApp, this goes through WhatsApp's service (part of Meta). WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms also apply.

Our contact page shows a map from OpenStreetMap. To display it, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address. The OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy applies to this.

We also share data when the law requires us to.

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In that case we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

This website does not place cookies itself and does not use techniques to track you for analytics or advertising. If we start doing so in the future, we will update this privacy policy and ask for your consent first where required.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use, such as a secure connection (HTTPS) and limited access to data. If you think your data is not properly secured or you see signs of misuse, please contact us at info@amstersite.nl.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing and have your data transferred to another party. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to info@amstersite.nl. We respond within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm your identity.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know and we will look for a solution together. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We may update this privacy policy, for example when our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
